Situation
ERROR: "-97 Error adding volume to NDS" is presented when
creating a volume in a cluster enabled pool.
/var/log/messages reports "ncs-configd: [clstrlib.NWCLSTR_ClusterEnableVol,".T=TREE.O=CONTEXT.SERVER1_VOL1"] failed: exceptions.ValueError"
/var/log/messages reports "ncs-configd: [clstrlib.NWCLSTR_ClusterEnableVol,".T=TREE.O=CONTEXT.SERVER1_VOL1"] failed: exceptions.ValueError"
Resolution
Each "ncpcon mount" command in the cluster resource load scripts
has a volume ID. These volume IDs need to be unique.
Edit the load scripts through iManager and make all the volume IDs
unique. The volume ID is at the end of the "ncpcon mount"
command.
If you do not have duplicate volume IDs then this error is due to a bug. The fix is in OES 2 SP1.
