Situation
Server hangs while patching during the Java portion.
Server hangs after patch while loading Java.
Java does not function properly after patching and rebooting the server.

Resolution
Rename the JAVA, JAVASAVE, and NI directories and replace them with
a valid copy (ie, another server that is already patched, or Novell
Support if necessary). Repatch the server.
If any products were installed on the server that required Java outside of a basic install, you may need to either copy files manually into the proper Java directories or reinstall the products so that the Java directories contain the necessary modules for operation.
