Blue screen after installing the ZAM client.

If an MSI is created with the setup.exe with any utility, some registry keys may be getting distributed that should not be.  The following registry keys should not be distributed and need to be taken out of the MSI if the are there:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tally Systems Corp.\TSCensus\CollectionClient\CorePID
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tally Systems Corp.\TSCensus\CollectionClient\CoreThreadID
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tally Systems Corp.\TSCensus\CollectionClient\WorkstationOID

If these keys exist they may be pointing to resources that the operating system is using and the ZAM client tries to kill them and set them to what it needs, therefore causing a blue screen if they are in use.


If these reigistry keys exist after deployment of the application, delete them.  The ZAM client will set them to what it needs automatically.

Additional Information

1.  Install the ZAM agent on machine.
2.  Reboot and login.
3.  After a few minutes it bluescreens.
