Fact

Novell ZENworks 6.5 Desktop Management - ZfD6.5

Novell ZENworks for Desktops 3.2

Novell ZENworks Desktop Management

Novell ZENworks Management Agent

Symptom

Scheduled Actions rerun after upgrading the Management Agent to ZDM 6.5

Scheduled Actions that are set to 'Disable after Completion' are rerun when the Server and Agent are upgraded to ZDM 6.5 from ZfD 3.2

Cause

The registry keys, which keeps the disabled state of the scheduled action, were kept in a typeful naming convention (CN=Action.O=Novell).  When the workstation is upgraded and the server is upgraded to ZDM 6.5 the registry key is changed to a typeless name (Action.Novell) This change in names was causing the action to rerun because it was viewed as a new action that had never been run before.

Fix

Fixed in ZFDAgent.msi dated 4 Feb 2005 version 6.5.84.50204 or newer found at Novell Support.
