Symptom

NAL goes to 100% utilization when applications are associated to an application folder.

Cause

When applications are associated to an application folder the NALagent.exe goes to 100% and the application will take a very long time to start.
The issue is commulative, the more applications assocciated, the longer it takes, at about 50 applications the machine almost grinds to a halt.

Fix

Fixed in Novell ZENworks 6.5 Desktop Management Service Pack 1 found at Novell Product Updates.

Note

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1) Create fifty simple applications.
2) Create a folder tree within an application folder object.
3) Assocciate the applications to the application folder.
4) Run one of the applications.
