Upgraded server to NetWare 6.5

Fix

The best workaround is to install and configure NDPS printing, however if this is not possible, you may download EDIR8712.exe or EDIR8731.EXE or the most current patch, which includes a fix for the 278 SAP issue.

The 278 SAP issue has been resolved in EDIR8712.EXE and EDIR8731.EXE for eDirectory 8.73.

Note

A replica MUST be on the server before the server willl SAP.

Fix

To verify that SAP 278 is now advertising; go into IPXCON | choose SERVICES | choose DISPLAY SELECTED ENTRIES | change TYPE to 278 and press ESC | choose PROCEED WITH SELECTIONS MADE.  There should be a list including the TREENAME and 278.  Pressing ENTER on the line will display the node that is advertising.  If you do not see patched server advertising SAP 278, unload and reload ds at the server console; then type: SET DSTRACE=+LIMBER and SET DSTRACE=*L.  Bouncing ds and running the limber process on the patched server should correct the issue.
